Final Results

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Army West Point golf team continued its spring season with a 14th-place finish at the Schenkel Invitational over the weekend at Forest Heights Country Club.

Army concluded the three-day tournament with a team score of 908 (+44). Florida won the team title at 837 (-27). South Carolina's Nathan Franks won the individual title by three strokes, highlighted by three rounds in the 60s to finish 13-under par.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• John Heckel Jr. was Army's top golfer with two under-par rounds of 71 in the second and third rounds of play.
• Heckel finished the tournament at 1-under par (73-71-71—215) for 36th on the individual leaderboard.
• Heckel ranked in a tie for fourth in Par 3 scoring, going 2-under par on those holes with a scoring average of 2.83 during the weekend.
• The 13 birdies during the three rounds for Heckel was among the top in the field.

The Black Knights are back in action on April 6-7 at the Haskins Award Invitational in Augusta, Ga.
