Men’s Basketball Suffers Home Loss to American

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's basketball (10-20, 6-11) fell on Wednesday afternoon to American University (16-14, 10-7), 73-51 at Christl Arena in what was the final regular season home game for Army this season.
Freshman Ryan Curry scored a career-high 21 points, making four three-pointers.
How It Happened
American had four players in double figures, led by Matt Rogers who scored 19 points, making three three-pointers. American made 12 threes, shooting .48% from behind the arc.
Army trailed by as many as 15 in the first half but used a 13-5 to cut into the American lead and go into the locker room trailing by five. During the scoring run, TJ Small and Josh Scovens, two connected on threes.
In the second half, American outscored Army by 17 in what became a convincing win for the Eagles.
Army struggled mightily in the second from the floor, shooting just 22.2% (6-27 shooting).
A bright spot of the night was Curry who led Army with a career-best 21 points and also matched his best with four three-point makes.
