Softball Drop Contests to UNCG and Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – The Army West Point softball team (0-12) fell in a pair of games Friday to the University of North Carolina Greensboro (6-9), 13-1 and Georgia Tech (6-5), 13-2.
Game 1 vs. UNCG
UNCG plated three in the first and jumped out to an early advantage.
Army would score its lone run on a sac fly by Julia Farris that would score Kayla Edwards.
UNCG would attack for seven more runs in the fifth and win in five innings, 13-1.
Game 2 vs. Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech's Sara Beth Allen had a two-home run game racking up four RBI to pace the Yellow Jackets' offensive assault. Tiffany Domingue added three hits and five RBI.
Trailing 6-0 in the fourth, Army plated a run on an RBI single from Sophie Smith that scored Kayla Edwards.
Amanda Eaglin (0-6), worked 2.1 innings, giving up six hits and six earned runs.
