February 21, 2024 | Men's Basketball
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's basketball team's four-game win streak came to end Wednesday night in a 85-54 loss to Lehigh at Christl Arena. 85 points is the most points given up by the Black Knights this season.
The Black Knights just couldn't get past a hot-shooting Lehigh team that shot 56.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three for the game.
Lehigh used a hot first half where they shot 53.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three.
The Black Knights were the polar opposite of Lehigh in the first half, shooting 25.9 percent from the field and 8.3 percent from long range. Black Knight starters combined for four points at the break as they went to the locker room down 40-16.
The second half was much of the same as it just wasn't the Black Knights night. The Mountain Hawks opened the half by hitting their first five field goals and first seven free throws before missing a shot.
A bright spot for Army was Jorn Everson who had a career-high eight points. Tate Laczkowski also scored his first collegiate points with a three, also getting his first two blocks.
Next up for Army is a road trip to Bucknell where they will play on Sunday Feb. 25 at 2pm.
