COACHES CORNER
The tune up meet is the last chance meet for some of our people to try to make the conference roster and for some of our top people that already have a spot on the conference roster, it's an opportunity to get themselves sharp for the conference championship. We had a little bit of both of those things today. On the men's side one of the things that stood out for me was the long jump, and Christian Bault's performance. His winning jump of 7.07 meters was a significant improvement on his personal best and it puts him in the hunt for a conference scoring spot. Robby Manse looked good today in the shot and his winning mark was a nice improvement. He had a good overall series today and he continues to put good meets together. He is poised for a significant breakthrough sometime soon. on the women's side our throws group stood out for me. In the weight throw, Kayley Ragazzini improved on her personal best and had the best series of her life. It is the right time of year to be putting up big throws and today marked another win for her in her signature event. She has led the conference all year and is positioned well for the championship next weekend. We didn't really load up the meet so there were fewer top level conference performances from our team but some of our young developmental athletes got a chance to take center stage and I liked their competitive efforts.
