Wrestling Set for Star Showdown at Navy Friday night

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Army West Point Wrestling continues its EIWA campaign Friday night with a duel meet at Navy. The match renews the Star Series presented by USAA, after Army West Point Women's and Men's Basketball swept Navy at home Feb. 10.Â

The Black Knights enter Friday with duel wins in four of its past five outings, with only a 21-16 loss to Lehigh Feb. 4—a match which came down to the final individual match—snapping its team win streak. Army is 4-1 this season in EIWA dual meet competition.Â

ESPN+ will broadcast Friday's match at Navy, with a 7:30 p.m. start time slated at Alumni Hall in Annapolis.Â

» Seven Army wrestlers featured in Thursday's NCAA Division I Coaches Ranking. Ethan Berginc slotted at No. 30 in the 125-pound weight class. Braden Brasile moved to No. 28 in the 133-pound rankings. Matthew Williams came in at No. 32 in the 149-pound division. Nathan Lukez garnered a No. 33 spot in the 157-pound class. At 165 pounds, Gunner Flipowicz came at No. 26. Benjamin Pasiuk was the highest ranked Black Knight in any weight class, ranking No. 14 at 174-pounds. Lucas Stoddard meanwhile was ranked No. 22 in the heavyweight class.Â
