Men’s Soccer Set for Army-Navy Cup XIII

CHESTER, Pa. – Army West Point Men's Soccer renews its rivalry with Navy this Friday in the Army-Navy Cup, Presented by Leidos.
The match, set for 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Philadelphia Union's Subaru Park, is the 13th edition of the rivalry fixture in the cup era.
Tickets are still available for purchase, and the match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Navy leads the all-time series 41-32-17. However, in the cup era, the Black Knights hold a 5-3-4 edge over the Mids. The sides played to a 1-1 draw a season ago in Chester, with Gage Lyons scoring in the 25' to permanently level the match. Army is the current cup holder, prevailing 2-0 in 2022.
Army will seek a 2-0 record against academy rivals in 2024 after knocking off Air Force 2-1 in Colorado August 29. The program is 10-6-5 in its last 21 fixtures vs. academy rivals.

Star Series Notes
Army will look to extend its early lead Friday in the Star Series, presented by USAA. The Black Knight programs currently lead Navy 3-1.
Army claimed the first star of the 2024-25 academic year September 27 in Volleyball with a five-set home thriller. Navy responded with a Men's Rugby win one day later in Annapolis. The Black Knight Golf team defeated Navy October 4-5 at West Point to bookend a 17-3 Sprint Football win at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium October 4.
Looking Ahead
The Black Knights travel to Princeton in non-league action October 15, before returning home to face Bucknell October 20 for a 1:00 p.m. kick at Malek Stadium.
