Luke Griner Wins Patriot League Men's Track Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After breaking the program record and having the world leading time in the 500m, Luke Griner has been named Patriot League Men's Track Athlete of the Week the league announced this afternoon.
Griner's time of 1:02.23 broke a 12 year program record and is the current best time in the world. Not only did he win the 500m, he also won the 400m this past weekend at the Virginia Tech Invitational with a time of 48.32.
Griner is the first Black Knight to take home Patriot League Men's Track Athlete this season and the first since he won it twice last season for his performances in the 800m.
Army will be back in action this weekend at the Villanova Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
