Friedrick and Ronnebaum Earn Patriot League Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Army West Point baseball sees two Cadet-athletes earn Patriot League Weekly honors announced by the league on Tuesday. The Black Knights went 4-1 for the week of May 2. Army defeated LIU 17-6. On Saturday, May 6, Army split a doubleheader against Lehigh, defeating the Mountain Hawks 3-2 in Game 1. The Black Knights swept the Lafayette Leopards in a doubleheader on May 7.
Ross Friedrick and Matthew Ronnebaum earned Player and Pitcher of the Week for the second and third time this season, respectively.
In the May 2 game against LIU, Friedrick batted 3-for-5, with a home run, a double, four RBIs, and three runs.
In Game 1 against Lafayette on May 7, the Alpharetta, Ga. native went 3-for-5, having a home run, two RBIs, and two runs.
For the week of May 2, Fredrick batted 11-for-26, had a .524 avg., two home runs, two doubles, eight RBIs, six runs, a .905 slugging percentage, and a .565 on-base percentage.
In Army's seven-inning game against Lehigh on May 3, starting pitcher Matthew Ronnebaum pitched a complete game, scattering six hits, two runs, and one earned run, while striking out seven batters, and had no walks, after facing 27 batters.

The top-seeded Black Knights will host the fourth-seeded Lafayette Leopards in the Patriot League Tournament Semifinals on Saturday, May 13-14.
