Football Names McCann First Female Head Football Athletic Trainer

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Athletics has announced the promotion of Jacqui McCann to Head Football Athletic Trainer.
She becomes the first-ever female head football athletic trainer in Army history.
McCann joined the Army Athletic Association in 2013 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, where she has been working as a secondary trainer with football but has previously worked with Men's Hockey, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, and Softball while at Army.

Prior to her arrival at West Point, McCann completed her master's degree in Exercise Science from Long Island University, with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning and Sports Nutrition. While obtaining her degree, she worked with the LIU Women's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Track and Women's Lacrosse programs.
McCann also has previous experience with the Philadelphia Flyers, Widener University, Temple University, and Cinnaminson High School.

McCann maintains a BOC Athletic Training certification, CPR/AED certification, National Athletic Training Association membership, and is a New York and Pennsylvania state licensed Athletic Trainer. Additionally, she holds an FMS certification, Corrective Exercise Specialization, Performance Enhancement Specialization and is certified in Dry Needling Level 1.

She earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Temple University.
McCann lives in the Greater New York Area with her wife, Mary as the couple expects their first child this summer.
