Men's Tennis Tops Lafayette in Patriot League Quarterfinals

HAMILTON, NY - Army West Point men's tennis (19-11, 6-1 Patriot League) posted a clean 4-0 sweep of Lafayette (3-13, 2-4 Patriot League) in a Patriot League quarterfinal matchup on Friday afternoon.
Army will advance to the Patriot League semifinals tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. against third-seeded Boston University.
Army made quick work on the doubles point to get out to an early 1-0 lead. Jake Huarte and Nathan Jose cruised to a 6-2 win on flight three while A.J. Woodman and Thomas Lake made good on court one with a 6-2 victory which secured the point.
Samuel Haikal was nearly perfect on court six, logging a (6-1, 6-0) win which gave Army a 2-0 advantage. Lake made it 3-0 in favor of the Black Knights, registering a (6-3, 6-0) win on court two. The match was clinched soon after on court five, as Huarte tabbed a (6-2, 6-3) victory which gave Army the 4-0 win to reach the semifinals.
