Evan Plunkett Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, PA - Army West Point freshman Evan Plunkett was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the first time this season, announced today by the league.
A native of Roswell, Georgia, Plunkett led Army in its 13-6 win over Holy Cross with a career-best seven point effort. Plunkett poured in his second career hat trick with three goals on five shot attempts. He added a game-high four assists to contribute on more than half of Army's goals.
Plunkett has scored in every game to begin his career, including three straight multi-goal efforts. He has also posted six assists across his past two games and has logged five ground balls throughout the season. His 17 points ranks second on the Black Knights through five games.
Army returns on Friday night to take on Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. from Michie Stadium.
