Men's Tennis Drops Road Contest at Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Army West Point men's tennis (12-9, 1-0 Patriot League) dropped a midweek contest by a score of 4-1 at Monmouth (8-4, 0-1 CAA) on Wednesday afternoon. The match marked Army's first outdoor match on the east coast and final road contest of the regular season.
In a highly contested doubles matchup, Monmouth was able to collect the point with a pair of breaks on both one and three. Samuel Eden and Vishnu Bodavula saw their bout fall incomplete.
Moving to singles, the Hawks set the tone again with a pair of (6-2, 6-1) wins on courts one and three to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Jake Huarte salvaged a point for the Black Knights, picking up a (6-4, 7-6) victory on court five as Army fell by an eventual score of 4-1.

Army will return home to take on Holy Cross in a Patriot League matchup at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
