STATESBORO, Ga. – The Army West Point golf team completed round two of the Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club and the Black Knights sit 14th heading into the final round.

The Black Knights improved with 12 strokes from round one to round two and had a team score of 299 (+11) on Saturday. Georgia Southern continued to play well as the host and leads by 11 strokes at 23-under par. The Eagles' Ben Carr leads the field by three shots at 8-under after back-to-back 4-under 68s on his card.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Joshua Kim has the best round of the day for the Black Knights, shooting a 1-over 73.
• Kim was 2-under par on his final nine holes after starting on hole 10 for his second round.
• He finished 4-under in his last three holes, including an eagle on his final hole of Saturday.
• John Heckel Jr. wasn't far behind with a 2-over 74 as he was steady with 14 pars and a birdie during his round.
• Samuel Kim had a round of 74 with 13 pars and a birdie.
• Rob Ferris was 6-over today, but is tied for 41st on a crowded leaderboard after his opening round of 70 on Friday.

The Black Knights are back for the final round on Saturday with tee times starting at 9:45 a.m. at Forest Heights Country Club.
