DORADO, Puerto Rico – The Army West Point golf team concluded its first tournament in the spring season and ended up 14th on the leaderboard of the Dorado Beach Collegiate.

The Black Knights finished with a team score of 917 (+53). Cincinnati captured the team title with a score of 820 (-44), while Duke took second at 36-under par for the tournament. William Love of the Blue Devils won the individual title with a 7-under 65 on the final day to come from behind for the victory.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Gary Bullard and John Heckel Jr. finished the final day with 1-over par rounds of 73.
- Heckel Jr. had five birdies on the last day and improved his score every round down in Puerto Rico.
- Bullard improved every day as well and had two birdies and eagled the par-5 ninth hole at TPC Dorado Beach.
- Patrick Song shot a 4-over 76 on the final day to cut four strokes off his score from the second round.

Next up for the Black Knights is the Schenkel Invitational. The three-day event starts on March 17 at the Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, GA.
