Men's Lacrosse Win a Trio Of Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, PA – Army West Point men's lacrosse picked up a trio of weekly awards after taking down No. 8 Rutgers at home. Junior Reese Burek was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore Will Coletti was selected as Faceoff Specialist of the Week and freshman Gunnar Fellows earned Rookie of the Week.
Offensive Player:
#24 Reese Burek, Junior, Midfielder (Fairport, NY / Fairport)
Army junior Reese Burek led the Army attack in its win over #8 Rutgers. Burek poured in a game-high five goals, including a first half hat trick which gave Army a three-goal lead at the break. Burek added four ground balls and was efficient in his scoring, netting the five goals on eight shot attempts.
Faceoff Specialist:
#10 Will Coletti, Sophomore, Faceoff Specialist (Monrovia, MD / Linganore)
Army sophomore Will Coletti dominated in the circle against #8 Rutgers to help Army knock off the Scarlet Knights. He would go on to win 19 of 30 faceoffs, while securing 12 ground balls and scoring a pivotal fourth quarter goal.
Rookie:
#41 Gunnar Fellows. Freshman, Attack (Highlands Ranch, CO / Valor Christian)
Freshman Gunnar Fellows made an impact in Army's defeat of #8 Rutgers, scoring two goals while assisting on a third.
Army Men's Lacrosse will be back in action Tuesday, taking on Wagner College at Michie Stadium at 3pm, with the game broadcast on ESPN+.
Offensive Player:
