Gymnastics Places Third at All-Academy Championships

DALLAS, Texas - Army West Point gymnastics team took third at the annual All-Academy Championships held at the Ford Center on Saturday.
Air Force won the All-Academy Championship with 396.55 points followed by Navy (393.00) and Army (389.15)
Joseph Buselmeier wrote the Black Knight headlines beating the field on still rings (13.5) as Army took three of the top four places in that event. Patrick Armstrong tied his career mark of 13.35 to earn runner-up honors with Caleb Churchill setting a personal high 13.2 for fourth place.
Buselmeier was among Army's top point producer in three other events. His 13.3 career mark on floor exercise tied teammate Kalvin Kingshill (season best) for fifth place. His 13.25 on parallel bars equaled his career high, and a 12.7 score on high bar tied for seventh place.
Jacob Nauman turned in Army's top mark on vault (14.25) and Gabe Almeida led the way on pommel horse (13.4) as both placed fourth in their respective events. Zachary Perez was the team's leader on high bar (12.95) taking fifth.
Nauman also finished among Army's leaders on floor exercise, posting a 13.2, and on high bar (12.35). Maddox Pabellon set a career mark on vault (14.15) along with a 12.75 on pommel horse where Carter Beck authored a personal best 12.65.
