Diving Competes at Big Al Invitational as Final Army-Navy Tune Up

PRINCETON, NJ - Army West Point diving competed this weekend at the Big Al Invitational hosted by Princeton University for its final tune-up ahead of this week's Army-Navy matchup. Army lined up against the likes of Princeton, Penn State, Denver, Penn, George Washington, Utah and Columbia at DeNunzio Pool.
DAY ONE RESULTS | DAY TWO PRELIMS RESULTS |Â DAY TWO FINALS RESULTS
The Black Knights began on Friday with the men competing in the 1-meter dive, as the duo of Adam Elahmadi and Isaac Newman each qualified for the B finals. Elahmadi posted a score of 259.75 in the prelims while Newman came in with a 254.25 as both landed in the top-12. Returning for the finals, Elahmadi (241.45) and Newman (236.35) recorded 14th and 15th place finishes, respectively.
Returning on Saturday for the women's 1M and men's 3M, Newman once again qualified for the B finals with a score of 262 in the prelims which was good for 13th before logging a score of 224.35 in the finals. On the women's side, Minh Donnell paced the Black Knights in the 1M with a score of 215.55 which put her in 21st. Abigail Gibbs (207.50) and Marianne Orr (199.30) each landed in the top-30 for Army as well in the event.
The Black Knights will head to Annapolis next to compete in the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA, with events kicking off at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7 from Lejeune Hall.
