Monken and 17 players recognized in College Football Network’s All-Independent Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Black Knights head coach Jeff Monken and 17 players were recognized for their achievements on the field this season by the College Football Network's All-Independent College Football Team and Individual Honors list.
Coach Jeff Monken was the recipient of the Coach of the Year honors. Monken guided the Black Knights to improve to a 6-6 overall record following a 2-6 start. Monken led Army to a signature win over #17-ranked Air Force, the first win over an AP-ranked opponent since 1972. Army then defeated rival Navy in the famed Army-Navy Game to reclaim the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, the fourth under Monken and the first since 2020.
Among the 17 players honored, two were awarded first team, six to second team, and nine honorable mentions.

DBs Quindrelin Hammonds and Bo Nicolas-Paul were selected as First-Team All-Independent Defensive selections.
Hammonds started in all 12 games this season at safety totaling career highs with 64 tackles (32 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, three interceptions and seven passes defended. His 64 tackles were third-best on the team and his interceptions were tied for the team high.
Nicolas-Paul played in 11 games, where he also posted career bests with 31 tackles (23 solo), three interceptions and five passes defended.
QB Bryson Daily took home Second-Team All-Independent Offense honors. Daily started in 10 games and played in 11 for the Black Knights becoming only the second Army QB to rush and pass for over 900 yards in a season. Daily accounted for 14 touchdowns (seven rushing, seven passing).
Defensively, LB Leo Lowin, DB Cameron Jones, DB Max DiDomenico and DB Jabari Moore took home Second-Team All-Independent defense honors.
Lowin started all 12 games and led the Army defense in tackles for the second consecutive season posting 92 tackles (47 solo). He also added 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks, and four forced fumbles that ranked tied for third most in the country.
Jones played in 11 games, posting a career-best 38 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, and recorded one interception. For his career, the Carson, California native played in 45 games and recorded seven interceptions. Jones was also selected as an honorable mention for his punt-returning duties.
DiDomenico started in all 11 games that he played, posting 53 tackles (26 solo) and two interceptions, one coming hugely in the Army-Navy Game to prevent a Navy scoring opportunity.
Moore started in all 12 games, recording 36 tackles (28 solo), and six passes defended.
On special teams, kickoff specialist Cole Talley was named a Second-Team Specialist. Talley was once again a force on kickoff, booting 37 touchbacks out of his 49 kickoff attempts, breaking his own record that he set last season.
Additionally, these nine players were selected as Honorable Mentions to the All-Independent teams.
