New Rochelle, NY- Army women's soccer finished its non-conference schedule with a 1-1 draw at Iona on Wednesday afternoon. Kaitlin Palaian provided the goal halfway through the first half.

GAME SUMMARY
The first 20 minutes of the half was a defensive stalemate until Kaitlin Palaian scored the opener in the 24^th minute.

In the first half the Black Knights outshot the Gaels 14-2 and continued with this tactic into the second half. The Black Knights had several goal scoring opportunities. In total Army outshot Iona 24-4 overall and were 6-2 with shots on goal.

However, the Goals tied the game on a goal by Kayla Thomas at the 50' mark. The Black Knights continued with their tight defense and had several close shots on goal. Both Lauren Drysdale and Elizabeth Oberhaus came close to putting the Black Knights back in the lead with efforts that were just shy of the goal.

CADETS CAPSULES

Kaitlin Palaian scored her first goal of the season and had a season-high two shots.

Kaelan Bradley had her first assist of the season.
