Theam Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After finishing second at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate over the weekend, senior captain Dragon Theam was named the Patriot League's Golfer of the Week.Â
Theam was the top player for the Black Knights throughout the tournament and had two under par rounds to finish at 8-under par. He started out hot with a 6-under 65 on Saturday with six birdies and he didn't drop a shot throughout his entire round. On Sunday, he carded five birdies on the second day mixed in with a couple of bogeys to shoot a 2-under 69. He only dropped shots on three of the 36 holes played in the first rounds of the season and drained 11 birdies. Army finished in a tie for sixth overall at the tournament as a team to start the 2022-23 campaign.Â
The Black Knights are in the Midwest this weekend at Olympia Fields Country Club for the Fighting Illini Invitational with the three-day tournament starting on Saturday.Â
