Five Black Knights Named to USA Rugby Rosters

WEST POINT, N.Y. --- Army West Point Men's Rugby was well represented on the USA Men's Rugby U23 and U20 Teams as three current players and two alumni were named to the roster for the Coredon Summer Tour, as announced by the association.

The USA Men's U18, U20 and U23 squads are inbound to Amsterdam this week to compete in the Corendon Summer Tour against other international sides from the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic and northern rival Canada. Men's High Performance Pathways Manager Brendan Keane confirmed the traveling rosters for each squad.

Larry Williams along with recent graduates KoiKoi Nelligan and Collin Grosse, earned a spot on the U23 team. The team will compete in two matches, battling Belgium on July 9 and the Netherlands on July 16 to close out the trip.

Nate Gould and Lucas Pattison claimed a spot on the U20 roster under former men's rugby assistant coach Kyle Sumsion. The two Black Knights will have the chance to play in three contests with the squad: Belgium (July 9), Czech Republic (July 13), and Netherlands (July 16).

"We're thrilled for the opportunity these five players have earned, as well as for Coach Sumsion," said head coach Matthew Sherman. "It's a tremendous honor for them to represent our country, and we know they'll put everything they have into filling the jersey. I know these players would be the first to recognize the role their West Point teammates and coaches have played in their development to reach this achievement, and we're proud of everyone contributions throughout the team that has created this opportunity."

Live stream information and an official match schedule for the Corendon Summer Tour has not yet been confirmed but will be shared should that become available.
