Duong Named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Jolie Duong of Army West Point Softball garnered her first Patriot League weekly honor after being named Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.

Duong collected a pair of wins in three appearances as the Black Knights went 2-3 on the weekend against UIC, #24 USF and Florida A&M. She threw two complete games only allowing one run in 20.0 innings pitched.

In the opening 5-0 win over UIC, Duong had five strikeouts in seven innings and held her opponent batting average to .091. She picked up the two-hit shutout for her second win in the circle. In the win over Florida A&M, Duong pitched 6.0 innings with zero runs allowed.
