Golf Finishes 11th at Bandon Dunes Championship

BANDON, Ore. - The Army West Point golf team finished the Bandon Dunes Championship in 11th place after the completing the final round on Tuesday.

Army shot a total of 895 (+43) over the three days and recorded a weekend best 291 (+8) on the final round. Oregon held onto the lead in the last round and won the title at 11-over and shot a 4-under as a team on Tuesday. San Jose State's Caleb Shetler won the individual title, finishing 4-under after firing another 3-under 68 on Tuesday.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Army had four players out of the five in the lineup that scored a 2-over 73 on the final day.
- Tom Katsenes was Army's top finisher at 9-over par, which was in a tie for 36th on the player leaderboard.
- James Earl Ballato, who was competing as an individual, had Army's top round of the tournament with an even par 71.
- Ballato had two birdies in his final round and played steady throughout his final 18.
- Gary Bullard finished in a tie with Ballato in 46th on the leaderboard at 12-over for the tournament.
- Dragon Theam also finished with a 2-over par 73 on Tuesday, as did John Heckel on the last day in Oregon.
