Three Black Knights Earn Patriot League Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three Black Knights received Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards after competing at the West Point Spring Open on March 18. Luke Griner was named the men's runner of the week, Emily Mikoud was tabbed as the women's field athlete of the week, and Emily Fink was selected as the women's rookie of the week.
Emily Mikoud won the hammer throw with a personal-record toss of 63.73m which is the tenth-best distance in the nation. She also placed second in the discus throw (48.78m) at the West Point Spring Open. Mikoud was named the women's field athlete of the week four times during the indoor season.
Emily Fink, a four-time rookie of the week winner in the indoor season, set a career-high and ECAC-qualifying distance in the hammer throw (60.61m) while finishing second in the event at the West Point Spring Open.
Luke Griner won the 800m for the second consecutive meet with an IC4A-qualifying time of 1:51.24 at the West Point Spring Open.
The Black Knights will compete at the Lafayette Open on Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m.
