Gorajek Named Patriot League Attacker of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After posting career-high numbers in goals and points, Julia Gorajek has been named Patriot League Attacker of the Week announced on Monday. This is Gorajek's second Patriot League weekly award after being named midfielder of the week on February 28.
Gorajek notched career-highs in goals with six and in points with seven in two and a half quarters in Army's win over Holy Cross on March 19 for the Black Knights' seventh straight win which ties a program record.
She added one ground ball and one caused turnovers. She posted three goals and one assist in the first quarter to help the Black Knights open a 6-3 lead. Her six goals are tied for the third-highest single-game goal total in the League this season.
Gorajek leads the Black Knights and ranks third in the league in goals (30) and goals per game (3.33). She is second on the team and third in the conference in points (36).
The Black Knights, who are receiving votes in this week's ILWomen/IWLCA Division I Poll, face Colgate on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m.
