Fixemer Represents Black Knights at Team USA Open Program

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Paige Fixemer will Army West Point Volleyball at the 2022 USA Volleyball National Open Program on Feb.25-27 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.

The Women's National Team Open Program (WNTOP), formerly known as the Open Tryout, is a part of the selection process for the U.S Women's National Team, NCAA Elite Athlete List, and 2022 Collegiate National Team.

Led by U.S. Women's Head Coach Karch Kiraly, the Women's National Team staff and volleyball coaches from around the country, athletes will participate in skill-specific activities and match play throughout the Open Program.

Fixemer is coming off strong sophomore season earning All-Patriot League First Team honors. She appeared in 97 sets this season leading the Black Knights in kills with 277 averaging 2.86 per set. She recorded a season-high of 19 kills against Colgate and finished with one double-double of 10 blocks and 17 kills against Sacred Heart. The sophomore in blocks with 101.0 with 24.0 being solo blocks.

"This is a great opportunity for Paige and I know she is excited to compete in three sessions a day with some of the best players in the nation," said head coach Alma Kovaci Lee. "Paige will not back down from hard work and the competitive environment at the camp. It will be a great experience for her and our team. I am looking forward to hearing about her experience from her and the coaches that training her."
