WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team set a program record in its 4695-4329 win over MIT in an NCAA qualifier match on Saturday.

The Black Knights set the record in aggregate score by three points while tying the record in the smallbore. The Black Knights topped MIT 2333-2120 in the smallbore with the Black Knights having the top-11 scores led by Claudia Sigel (586).
In air rifle, Army outscored MIT, 2362-2209. The Black Knights had the top-12 marks with Lauren McMahan leading the way with a 593 score.

Five seniors – Kirsten Coombes, Aaron Flowers, Lauren McMahan, Anastasia Osborne, and Isabella Saylan (manager) – were honored after the match.

CADETS CAPSULES

Claudia Sigel scored a 586 in the small bore and had a perfect 200 prone.
Matalyn Espenshade recorded a personal best in the air rifle (585), 197/200 kneeling.
Kyle Kutz tied a personal-best in the air rifle (592).
