Four Black Knights Earn Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Army women's indoor track and field team swept this week's Patriot League weekly awards with Anna Tovkach (track), Emily Mikoud (field), and Emily Fink (rookie) earning the honors, and while Marshall Beatty was named men's track athlete of the week announced on Tuesday.
Tovkach earned the award for the second straight week after setting a trio of records in the 800m at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on January 28. Tovkach broke her program record in the event one week after setting it again, finishing with a time of 2:05.69 which is the fifth-fastest time in the NCAA this season and the fastest time in Patriot League history.
Mikoud, who has been Patriot League women's field athlete of the week for the third time in four weeks, set three records in the weight throw (21.74) while placing first in the event. She broke her own Army and service academy marks and set the facility record.
Fink recorded her fourth straight rookie weekly award which is a record for the most consecutive awards in Patriot League history. She claimed the shot put event with a 15.36 toss.
Beatty ran the 3000m in 8:01.46 which is the second-fastest time in program history, behind two-time Olympian Dan Browne.
