Women’s Lacrosse Announces 2023 Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Army West Point women's lacrosse has released its full 2023 schedule, announced today by head coach Michelle Tumolo.
The slate includes 16 games in total, featuring nine games on the banks of the Hudson at West Point. Army opens the season on Saturday, Feb 11th with a matchup against New Hampshire at Michie Stadium.
The Black Knights will hit the road for the first time on February 16, heading south to Florida for a fixture at Jacksonville. Returning home, Army will take on both Marist and Rutgers at Michie on February 22 and February 25, respectively.
Army makes a visit to Hofstra on March 4 before opening the Patriot League campaign at home versus Boston University on March 11, followed by a non-league affair with Seina on March 15 at Michie. With the Patriot League schedule kicking in, Army will see three of its next four matchups on the road featuring trips to Holy Cross (March 18), Lehigh (March 29) and American (April 1) with a home tilt versus Colgate on March 25 mixed in.
The Black Knights will play host to Yale on April 4 for its final midweek and non-league contest of the campaign. Next, Army hosts Bucknell on April 8 before taking on Loyola on the road on April 15 ahead of the pivotal star-series matchup with Navy.
The Mids make the trip to West Point on Saturday, April 22 before Army closes out the regular season at Lafayette on April 28. The Patriot League Tournament immediately follows, with dates set for the quarterfinals (April 30), semifinals (March 4) and Championship game (March 6).
Army is coming off a successful 2022 campaign, earning the number two seed in the Patriot League with a 7-2 mark in the conference and 12-6 record overall. Army defeated Navy for the first time in program history under first-year Head Coach Michelle Tumolo, taking down the Mids by a score of 14-9 in Annapolis.
Army returns four all-league honorees from the 2022 campaign, including the duo of attacker Julia Gorajek and midfielder Jolie Riedell, who landed on the All-Patriot League First Team. Attackers Carleigh Armstrong and Kathleen Sullivan earned second team honors after tallying 46 goals each.
