Women's Basketball Falls on Road to Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT – Army West Point women's basketball (1-4, 0-0 Patriot League) fell by a score of 60-37 on the road versus Vermont (2-3, 0-0 America East) on Monday night. Army was cold from the field all night as the Catamounts held Army to single digit points in three of the four quarters.
Kamryn Hall led Army with ten points to go along with seven rebounds, while Sabria Hunter collected a team-high nine boards and Reese Ericson added three assists.
GAME SYNOPSIS
Army led in the early stages, with Kamryn Hall scoring the first points of the game after the teams opened a combined 0-6 shooting to start. After an Ericson three, the Black Knight led 5-2 just over three minutes into the matchup. Hall added four more points in the quarter, in which Army trailed 12-9 after.
The offense came alive for both teams in the second quarter, with Army seeing Vasana Kearney and Charlotte Richman each knock down a three-pointer which cut the lead to 20-18 with four minutes on the clock. However, the Catamounts scored 19 in the quarter off 6-11 from the field to take a 31-22 lead into halftime.
Army went cold for the remainder of the game, shooting a combined 5-29 in the second half, featuring 1-10 from beyond the arc. Vermont struggled to score in the third quarter, going 2-11 but used 21 fourth quarter points to pull away for a comfortable 60-37 victory.
