Volleyball Sees Cutler, Fixemer, Butters and Bray Named to All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, PA – Army West Point volleyball saw four cadet-athletes named to the All-Patriot League team, announced today by the league.
Juniors Allanah Cutler and Paige Fixemer were each selected to the All-League First Team, with firstie Sayler Butters and junior Savannah Bray landing on the second team. Army last had four all-league selections in 2020, which saw Fixemer on the second team after her plebe campaign.
The Black Knights ended the 2022 regular season with an 18-8 overall record, including a 14-2 mark in Patriot League play which saw Army share the Patriot League regular season title. The Black Knights ended the season on an eight-game winning streak to have a piece of the title for the first time since 2009.
All-Patriot League First Team
Allanah Cutler: Junior, Outside Hitter (Long Beach, Calif. / Long Beach Polytechnic)
Junior Allanah Cutler had a standout season for the Black Knights, while appearing in 25 matches. Cutler totaled 255 kills, good for third on team while posting 91 digs on the defensive end. Her 59 blocks ranked eighth in the Patriot League, including five contests in which she tabbed more than five. At her best during Patriot League play, Cutler recorded season-highs in both kills and digs with 17 and 18 respectively in Army's home victory over Colgate. Each of her four matches with 15+ kills came during conference play, helping the Black Knights to the 14-2 regular season mark.
Paige Fixemer: Junior, Middle Blocker (Omaha, Neb. / Millard South)
Junior Paige Fixemer continued her dominant career at Army, earning All-League honors for the third time in as many seasons. After landing on the first team last season, Fixemer once again led the Black Knights in kills, with 287 across 26 contests. The Omaha native landed sixth in the league in total kills, while recording the second most blocks in the conference with 111. Fixemer tabbed double-digit kills in 20 contests for Army, inclduing a season-high 17 against Temple.
All-Patriot League Second Team
Sayler Butters: Senior, Libero (Tempe, Ariz. / Notre Dame Prep)
Senior captain Sayler Butters had a dominant campaign as Army's libero, registering the second most digs in the conference with 494. Butters averaged over five digs per set, collecting over twenty digs in 12 contests, highlighted by a season-high 29 in Army's win over American. Butters' 116 assists were the second-most on the Black Knights, averaging 1.16 per set with her lone double-double coming against American with ten assists to go along with the 29 digs. Appearing in all 98 sets this season, Butters led the team as the only senior on the roster.
Savannah Bray: Junior, Outside Hitter (Woodstock, Ga. / Etowah)
Junior Savannah Bray appeared in 26 matches and produced steadily all season long. Bray compiled 271 kills, good for second best on the team while recording the second most digs on the team with 243. Bray also made an impact with 38.0 blocks, fourth best on the team. Bray logged a season high 20 kills in a win at Navy on Oct. 21.

Army will have a first-round bye in the Patriot League Championship Tournament, with a semifinal match on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at Colgate with an opponent to be determined.
