Boston – In the final game of the regular season, the Army women's soccer team defeated the Boston University Terriers in a five-goal thriller, 3-2, to become the Patriot League Regular Season Champions and the No. 1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament.
How it Happened
First Half
- At the 2' minute mark, Madison Niebish struck first in an attempt to put Army on the board, but her shot went wide.
- In the 8th minute of action, sophomore Keira Vesy attempted a shot that the Terriers goalkeeper Celia Braun saved.
- At the 12' minute mark, senior Lauren Drysdale put the Black Knights on the board with a penalty kick goal, giving Army a 1-0 lead.
- 17 minutes into the game, goalkeeper Sage Strohman saved a shot taken by Terriers Jenna Oldman.
- With 28 minutes of action, Drysdale attempted to extend Army's lead, but her shot went high.
- Boston University's Julianna Stureman tied everything up with a goal at the 36' minute mark.
- In the 39th minute, Kaitlin Palaian attempted to retake the lead, but her shot was blocked.
- Sophomore Keira Vesy's defense helped keep the score tied at 1-1 by denying a scoring chance.

- In the opening minute of the second half, Brigid Duffy's attempt to extend Army's lead; her shot was saved by Gretchen Bennett.
- At the 54th minute mark, with an assist by Kaelan Bradley, Duffy scored, extending the Black Knights lead 2-1.
- At the 60-minute mark, Strohman saved a shot taken by Boston's Lily Matthews.
- In the 68th minute, Cami Silvestro attempted to further extend the Black Knights lead but was saved by Bennett.
- In the 75th minute of action, Strohman had a save that prevented Boston from tying the game.
- At the 80th minute, the Terriers equalized the game 2-2, with a goal from Sophia Woodland.
- Strohman had a save in the 84th minute, keeping the score 2-2.
- With 37 seconds left, at the 89' minute mark, Bradley showed great poise by rounding the keeper to score the game-winning goal giving the Black Knights the Regular Season Title.

- Forward Lauren Drysdale's goal was her third of the season (all from the penalty spot).
- Brigid Duffy's goal tonight was her second of the season.
- Kaelan Bradley's game winning goal was her third of the season; she also had one assist.
- Goalkeeper Sage Strohman had four saves.
