GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The Army West Point golf team concluded its fall season with a second-place finish at the Nassau Invitational behind team captain Dragon Theam's individual performance at the Nassau Country Club.

The Black Knights ended up second on the team leaderboard with a team score of 871 (+31) with St. John's winning the title at 18-over par for the tournament. Theam was in the hunt on the individual leaderboard, but finished second at 2-over. Tyler Gerbavsits of the Red Storm held onto his lead on the final day to win the tournament.

TOURNAMENT NOTES:

Theam was consistent over the two days and was the second Black Knight to record an even par 70.
He had a birdie on each nine and ended up with 14 pars in his final round and finished the tournament with 41 pars, which was second among competitors.
Josh Kim was Army's next top golfer at 10-over for the tournament and finished in a tie for 15th.
Kim had a final round 73 with 15 pars in his last 18.
Marshall Daniel climbed nine spots on the final day with a 1-over 71 as he recorded a birdie and 15 pars.
John Heckel Jr. placed in a tie for 15th with Kim, while Gary Bullard, who played as an individual took home 19th place on the individual leaderboard.

The Black Knights have a packed spring, which kicks off on Feb. 26 at the Dorado Beach Collegiate for three rounds at TPC Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.
