Lewisburg Pa.- Going into today's match Army was right behind Bucknell in the Patriot League standings. Army went in today with a record of 5-1-1, while Bucknell was also entering with the same standings. With one game remaining in regular season play, the Black Knights will determine where they land within the top four qualifying seeds in the Patriot League Conference Tournament.
How it Happened
First Half
- At the three-minute mark, sophomore Kaelan Bradley took a shot that was saved by Bucknell's goalkeeper Jenna Hall.
- Senior Emma Richey's defense prevented the Bison from getting on the board with a blocked shot.
- Eleven minutes in, sophomore goalkeeper Sage Strohman had a save that prevented the Bison from getting on the board.
- Shortly after the save by Strohman, she had another acrobatic save peventing Bucknell from scoring.
- At the 24-minute mark, junior Madison Niebish had an opportunity to put the Black Knights on the board, but Hall came up big with a save.
- In the 42nd minute, Brigid Duffy attempted to put Army on the board but her shot was again blocked by Hall
- The Black Knights defense kept Bucknell scoreless in the first half.
- The Black Knights strong defense continued to hold strong.
- At the 48th minute mark, Bradley took a shot attempting to put the Army on the board, but her effort was saved.
- In the 54th minute, Keira Vesy's attempt almost put Army on the board, but was just saved by Hall.
- Shortly thereafter, sophomore Andrea Riddle attempted a shot that had gone high.
- Immediately after Riddle's shot, Lauren Drysdale took a shot that went wide.
- Keira Vesy's defense at the 66-minute mark prevented Bucknell from getting on the board.
- In the 80th minute of action, Niebish attempted to put Army on the board, but her shot was blocked by Hall.
- Goalkeeper Sage Strohman had five saves in the first half of action.
- Midfielder Madison Niebish led the Black Knights with three shots and two shots on goal.
- Kaelan Bradley had two shots.
