WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Black Knights defense kept American University scoreless in Army's 1-0 win on Senior Night. Senior Co-Captain Lauren Drysdale's penalty kick goal edged the Black Knights past the Eagles to victory.

GAME SUMMARY
The Black Knights defense was strong throughout the game en route to their third shutout in the last four games. While the Black Knights had scoring opportunities in the first half of play, most of the action came in the second half.

In exciting fashion, the Black Knights took the lead with a penalty kick goal by co-captain Lauren Drysdale in the 55th minute.

CADETS CAPSULES

Lauren Drysdale's goal was her second goal of the season - which was also a penalty kick.
Goalkeeper Sage Strohman had another shutout appearance, making this her fourth shutout of the season. She also made five saves with three of them coming in the second half.
Madison Niebish had a season high of four shots and also matched a season high of 1 shot on goal.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

The Black Knights extended their unbeaten streak to seven games.
The Black Knights outshot the Eagles 15-6 and had a total of six shots on goal.
This is Army's fifth shutout victory this season which are the most since the 2019 season.
