Patriot League Names Three Cadets As Indoor Track and Field Weekly Winners

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Three Black Knights were selected to Patriot League Indoor Track and Field weekly awards winners announced on Tuesday.
Jamir Gibson earned the men's indoor field athlete of the week, Anna Tovkach was named the women's indoor track athlete of the week, and Emily Fink was tabbed the women's indoor rookie of the week for their performance at the Penn State National Open.
Gibson won his third straight weekly award after winning the shot put (17.92m) in the fourth consecutive event. He also placed third in the weight throw (19.56m).
Tovkach broke her program record in the 800m with an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:06.84 which is the best time in the Patriot League and is ninth-best in the NCAA.
Fink recorded her third straight rookie weekly award which is tied for the most consecutive awards in Patriot League history. She set a personal best with a third place finish in the shot put (15.85m) which is a conference best and holds the top-spot in the northeast region.
The Black Knights will travel to Boston to participate in the John Thomas Terrier Classic from January 28-29.
