Volleyball's 2021 Slate Released

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point volleyball head coach Alma Kovaci Lee announced the Black Knights 2021 slate Tuesday morning. Army will set its sights on defending its Patriot League title from last season.Â

The Cadets will open the season by hosting consecutive tournaments: the Army Invitational (Aug. 27-28) and the Black Knight Invitational (Sept. 3-4).Â
Â
Army will then head to Queens, N.Y., the following weekend (Sept. 10-11) to compete in the St. John's Tournament.
Â
Patriot League play begins on Friday, Sept. 17, when the Black Knights host Bucknell at 7 p.m. Army will take on Lehigh at 7 p.m. the next inside Gillis Field House.

The next weekend, Army has a pair of matches in Maryland. On Friday, Sept. 24, Army will take on Loyola and then will take on service academy foe Navy on Saturday, Sept. 25. Both tilts are slated for 7 p.m. start times.Â

The Black Knights will then take on both the opponents they faced in the Patriot League Tournament this past March. On Friday, Oct. 1, Army will take on Holy Cross in a rematch of the semifinals. Then on Sunday, Oct. 3, the Black Knights will square off with Colgate, which they topped to take home their first Patriot League title since 2009.

Army has seven remaining matches in the month of October, including a match with American at home on Saturday, Oct. 9.

The Cadets open their November slate at home against Navy on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. and vs. Loyola at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6. Army concludes its regular season schedule at American on Saturday, Nov. 13.

The Patriot League Tournament will begin with quarterfinal round taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Then, the semifinal rounds will be played on Saturday, Nov. 20 and the champion will be decided on Sunday, Nov. 21.
