Hofmann Tabbed Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Beth Hofmann, a senior on the Army West Point women's lacrosse team, was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.

Hofmann caused one turnover, picked up one ground ball, caused one turnover and scored a goal to help Army West Point defeat Bucknell, 19-8. The Glen Mills, Pa., native anchored the Black Knights' defense that held the Bison to 14 shots, including 12 shots on goal, and just three goals in the first half. Her goal came in transition and was Army West Point's third of the game in the midst of a 10-0 run.
