April 17, 2021 | Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Several program records, pool records and personal bests highlighted the Army West Point men's and women's swimming and diving teams' performances in the annual Star Meet with Navy, which is part of the Star Series presented by USAA. The meet also doubled as the Patriot League Challenge.
Â
"The energy and the excitement and the way that the team fought from the very first event to end of the meet was phenomenal," Army head coach Brandt Nigro said. "We won races that going into the meet, we didn't know if we had a shot to win. When you can do that against your biggest rival at the end of a long, trying season it speaks volumes not only about the people that are on this team, but also the direction that this program is headed and what we're going to accomplish in the very near future."
Â
Navy won the meet on the men's side 198-102 and claimed it on the women's side with a score of 220-77.
Â
