Black Knights Earn Two League Wins

WEST POINT, NY - The Army West Point women's tennis team cruised to two shutout victories in the Patriot League Saturday, taking down Holy Cross 7-0, followed by a 6-0 defeat of Lafayette in the afternoon.
The morning started with the freshman duo of Carolyn Ahn and Justine Dondonay setting the tempo at No. 1 doubles, with a 6-0 victory. MaryJo Pidgeon and McKinnley Smith clinched the first point of the day with a 6-2 victory playing at No. 3.
The Black Knights (6-2, 3-0) were stellar in singles action, with victories from Sam DiMaio, Sasha Inchauste, Elizabeth Gilbert, Molly Heber, Pidgeon, and Smith to seal victory No. 1 on the day.
Army continued its dominance into the second match of the day against the Leopards, as the Cadets only surrendered one total game in their three doubles victories.
In singles play, Ana Joyner, Stephanie Dolehide, Caroline Vincent, Hannah Boubel, Justine Dondonay, and Carolyn Ahn all secured victories, with Ahn providing the clincher at No. 6.
