- Stanley has been a role model and team leader in the classroom.
- In the most recently completed term he earned over a 4.0 semester GPA; his cumulative academic program score is 3.968.
- As an academic Department Head, COL Raftery explains "this is a remarked achievement, doubly so given Stanley is majoring in the very academically challenging Applied Statistics and Data Science program, one of the newest majors to be offered at the United States Military Academy. This academic major is very much a need of the Army in the Cyber Domain and underpins the innovations achieved by large information companies such as Google."
- Stanley is a strong performer across all four of USMA's curricular pillars of academic, military, physical, and character, as evidenced by his combined cumulative quality point average of 3.936.
- Team Tri-Captain CDT David Gorshein shares that "Stanley plays an important role on our team as an individual excelling in both athletics and academics. While athletes often struggle to allocate appropriate time to both athletics and academics, Stanley serves as a daily reminder to our team that achievement in both fields is possible. He serves as a great example to our plebe players, aids his classmates in their core curriculum work, and hustles just as hard as anyone else on court. He is an inspiration to the entire team through his presence, work ethic, and expertise."
- Head Coach Jim Poling says "Stanley Liu has been a great asset to our program. He leads by example. One of the hardest workers we have and one of our most improved players. We are proud to have him on our team."
Stephanie Dolehide '22
- Cadet Stephanie Dolehide is an incredible scholar-athlete and a leader both on and off the tennis courts.
- She is a hardworking and dedicated student who has improved her academic performance every semester, culminating in her highest APST ever of 3.602 in fall 2020.
- She has made the Dean's List for the past two semesters and was recognized on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the Spring 2020 season.
- Stephanie is a top performer on the tennis court. She and her partner have dominated at the #1 doubles position, compiling a 15-6 record last season and advancing to the round of 8 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional Tournament.
- Stephanie also put together a strong 12-8 record in singles playing primarily in the #2 position; she earned a particularly impressive win to lead the team to a 4-3 victory over Pomona College in their final match before the spring 2020 season was suspended.
- Stephanie was selected as the Army Women's Tennis Most Valuable Player for the 2020 season.
- Stephanie has displayed tremendous growth in the physical domain as well, earning a 3.919 Physical Program Score in the fall semester and achieving A's on all graded fitness events.
- She demonstrated particularly impressive grit and determination on her fall Indoor Obstacle Course Test when she showed up to take it again the day after her first test when she wasn't satisfied with her score. On the second day, she ran this physically and mentally challenging event 17 seconds faster to earn an "A" and her first IOCT Tab.
- Stephanie has demonstrated an incredible commitment to service in any community that she is part of; she works hard to build teams and help others. During the fall semester, she co-organized a Corps-wide tennis tournament to help raise morale and cohesion across the Corps – more than 400 cadets participated in the two-day event.
- She also co-founded a nonprofit organization called Empowered Women Empower All, whose mission is to provide life inspiration by sharing stories of successful women in diverse career fields such as sports, business, and media.
- Finally, Stephanie volunteered to serve as a junior member of the Student Athletic Advisor Committee where she is responsible for organizing activities to help increase connections between cadet athletes and the rest of the Corps of Cadets.
- Coach Peck comments, "Stephanie is the ultimate team player on and off the courts. Her work ethic and positive personality help motivate her fellow teammates. In addition to playing phenomenal tennis, she has worked really hard on her fitness and tabbed the IOCT. She, along with the help of her teammates, organized a tennis tournament for the Corps which had over 400 participants. She also is excelling in the classroom; her GPA was a 3.69 last semester. She plays #1 doubles and #2 singles."

- Firstie gymnast Joe Minus from Fairfax, Virginia is a model of steadfast performance and leadership—as an athlete, a student, and as a future Army officer.
- He has been on the Dean's List every semester so far, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.7 as a Space Science major.
- He has also been a Distinguished Cadet every year since he was a Plebe and was I3 Company's Academic Officer last Fall.

- Joe was a member of the West Point Community Gymnastics Club growing up, and always dreamed of being a gymnast.
- That dream came through in 2017, and he worked hard to finally make the lineup after putting in countless hours in the gym during his Plebe, Yearling, and Cow years.
- This year he has competed in the pommel horse event for every single meet this season.
- Joe's cool, collected demeanor spreads confidence through his tight-knit team and his finely honed skills are an asset to the Black Knights' Corps Squad.
