Fixemer Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Paige Fixemer, a freshman on the Army West Point volleyball team, was tabbed the Patriot League Rookie of the Week Monday afternoon.

The Omaha, Neb., native registered a match-high 20 kills on a .515 hitting percentage in Friday's contest at Holy Cross. In Sunday's win over the Crusaders, she combined for seven kills and five blocks. As a whole, Fixemer combined for a total of 33.5 points over the weekend.

This marks the second time this season that Army has had a player earned the award. Savannah Bray was named the rookie of the week on Feb. 22.

Army will again square off with Holy Cross in a weekend series. The Cadets will host the Crusaders on Friday, March 19 before traveling out to Worcester, Mass., on Sunday, March 21.Â
