HADLEY, Mass. - The Army West Point golf team finished the UConn Invitational sixth on the team leaderboard with John Heckel Jr. placing sixth overall in the individual competition.

The Black Knights shot a team score of 892 (+28) through the three days and a 299 on the final day. Rhode Island won the team title, shooting a team score of 875 (+11).

TOURNAMENT NOTES

John Heckel Jr. shot a 2-over par 74 for the second day in a row and finished the tournament at even par after shooting a 4-under par 68 on the first day.
Heckel Jr. was one of eight golfers to shoot a round in the 60s during the tournament and his 68 ranked third lowest among all golfers.
Team captain Tom Katsenes ended up in a tie for 12th at 3-over par for the invitational and shot a 1-over 73 on the final day of competition.
Dragon Theam was next on the leaderboard for Army at 10-over for the tournament and finished in a tie for 36th after shooting a 3-over round of 75 on the final day.

The Black Knights will head to Lewisburg, Pa., for the Bucknell Invitational for another three-day tournament, which begins on Sunday.
