Women's Tennis Wraps Up Its Fall Season at West Point Invite

WEST POINT, N.Y. - In its final competition of its Fall season, Army West Point women's tennis turned in a strong performance at the West Point Invite over the weekend. The Black Knights won 30 of a possible 34 matches on the weekend against opponents from Fairfield, Marist, Lehigh, St. Bonaventure and Sacred Heart.

Army stated the weekend posting a perfect record in singles play with seven victories over Marist. Ana Laureiro posted the largest margin of victory in the action, defeating her opponent by a score of 6-0, 6-2. Senior captain Stephanie Dolehide also breezed past her opponent, winning 6-3, 6-2, over her Marist foe. Paola Bou and Jenna Sabile posted the largest doubles win on the first day of competition with an 8-2 result to defeat their St. Bonaventure opposition.

Army earned seven of nine singles victories on the second day of the Invite over Sacred Heart. Molly Heber posted a 6-0, 6-1 win against her opponent to lead the Black Knights.

On the final day of action, Army won all five of its singles contests and matched that performance on the doubles courts with another five victories to bring the weekend total to 30.
