Women's Tennis Extends Streak to Five with Wins over Stony Brook, Vassar College

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army women's tennis improved its winning streak to five matches with a pair of wins over Stony Brook and Vassar on Saturday.

Match 1: Army 4, Stony Brook 2

In doubles play, Stephanie Dolehide and Elizabeth Gilbert earned the win in the No. 1 doubles matchup on a tiebreaker point. Ana Joyner and Sam Dimaio picked up a 6-2 win in the No. 2 bout as the Black Knights earned the doubles point.

In singles action, Dolehide continued her strong day with a 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 vicrory over Nolwenn Cardoso in the No. 2 singles matchup. Paola Bou also earned a win in the No. 3 bout, picking up a straight-set victory over Maria Ribeiro. Army earned its fourth point in the in the No. 5 matchup, where Hannah Boubel defeated Kristine Theys, 6-3, 6-3.

Army swept the doubles matchups. In the No. 1 doubles, Sasha Inchauste and Hannah Bouble won their match, 6-2. Gloria Son and Danna Funaro also earned a 7-5 victory in the No. 2 bout, while McKinnley Smith and Abi Waldman defeated Jade Wilkinson and Ashley Fair at No. 3.

The Black Knights also won all six singles matches. Notably, Waldman picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 4 matchup.
