HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a slow start for the Black Knights as they were held off the board for the first 4:06 of the game while the Raiders jumped out to a 9-0 advantage. The scoreless drought ended once Funk found Wilson under the basket for an easy lay in. However, Colgate knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and pushed the lead to double digits, 17-6, for the first time of the contest.
- Army worked its way back into the game and went on a 15-4 run on the backs of Funk and Wilson. Funk knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to tie the game at 23-23 before Colgate called timeout with 7:31 on the clock. The senior duo was responsible for 12 of the 15 Army points during that run that lasted just under four minutes.
- Despite the Cadets eventually taking a two-point lead, the Raiders responded by closing out the half on a 19-5 run to not only regain the advantage, but also go into the break leading by 12, 42-30.
- Colgate opened the second half on a 15-5 run over a five-minute stretch, building the advantage to 22, 57-35, with 14:07 on the clock. Army was able to trim the deficit to 17 on several occasions, but the Raiders maintained their double-digit lead en route to securing the 91-65 home win.
