ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With podium finishes in two of the three events on the opening day of the Patriot League Championships, the Army West Point women's swimming and diving team is tied for third with 85 points.
Navy sits atop the leaderboards through the opening three events with 120 points, while Bucknell ranks second with 86. The Black Knights are currently tied with Boston University for third with 85 points, while Lehigh rounds out the top five with 76.
Army won the opening event of the night in the 200 medley relay and then followed that up with a third-place showing on the 3-meter board from senior diver Serica Hallstead, who posted the second best score in her career.
EVENT WINNERS:
200 Medley Relay: Lauren Carag, Mandolin Nguyen, Whitney Chang, Mia Rankin – 1:41.29
NOTABLES FINISHES:
3-Meter: Hallstead – 304.60, Third
800 Free Relay: Sammie Edwards, Kim Caccamo, Brianna Romaine, Kristen Gullickson – 7:32.83, sixth

Day two of the league championships will commence tomorrow with the preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals taking place at 6 p.m.
