Women’s Tennis Earns Pair of Victories over Binghamton and Sacred Heart

WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army women's tennis (3-2) took a pair of matches on Friday afternoon, first topping Binghamton, 7-0, before blanking Sacred Heart, 7-0.

Dolehide and Vincent set the pace with a 6-3 win in the top seeded doubles pairing. Boubel and Inchauste followed with strongly-fought 4-3 win from the second position, while Funaro and Son worked a 6-0 result from the third slot to give Army the doubles' point.

Dolehide then took care of her singles match in the No. 1 position, with Bou following with a 6-1, 6-2 showing in the No. 2 pairing. Army's Boubel and Inchauste each won their respective matches in the third and fourth slot, while Son and Smith close out the 7-0 result from the fifth and sixth spots.

Joyney and Dimaio took the No. 1 doubles match, 6-3, and Bou and McKenzie battled for a 6-1 result from the second-seed to give Army the doubles' point.

Gilbert and Dimaio each made quick work from the one and two seeds in singles action. Pidgeon and McKenzie found similar success from the third and fourth positions, while Loureiro and Waldman closed out the day's shutout with victories from the fifth and sixth seedings to finalize the 5-0 blanking for the Black Knights.
