- Despite trailing by 15, the Black Knights fought all the way back and over a stretch of 7:14, held the Terriers scoreless while putting up 16 unanswered points to grab a 28-27 advantage. What was key during the span was the Army defense, which forced five Boston U. turnovers.

- It was a single-digit game for much of the second half until Boston U. erupted for an 18-3 run that spanned over six minutes. Starting with 10:23 remaining in the game, the Terriers went 8-of-12 from the floor, while limiting Army to just one made basket.
- That run put the game out of reach for the Black Knights and the Terriers held on for the 81-59 home win.
